Went to watch X-Men Origins: Wolverine at GSC IOI Mall in Puchong yesterday. I've got free movie tickets for buying KitKat 12 packets pack. It is a really hot movie and something I can't wait to see.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine gives us the back story of Logan (Hugh Jackman) and Victor (Liev Schreiber). Logan is seeking to avenge the death of his girlfriend at the hands of Victor. His desire for revenge is so great he enters the mutant Weapon X programme to maximise his chances. From there we knew how Wolverine got his name and his fancy adamantium skeleton.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine tries to plug in some of the holes of Wolverine’s back story that we didn’t see in the previous three X-Men movies. It is a series of ideas and action set-pieces strung together by a loose narrative structure.
The Director, Gavin Hood definitely knows how to stage a showdown with a never ending stream of beautifully choreographed fight scenes.
The lead actor, Hugh Jackman comfortably embraces the role of Logan, adding a bit more depth and humanity to him this time round.
However, the love story that drives the main plot is awkward mainly due to the lack of chemistry between the leads.
There is a remarkable lack of blood and the end fight scenes were impressive in scale. A smiley face was sighted in the movie, carved by the least expected Sabretooth. Watch it yourself and you'll know what i mean.
