Kedai Makanan dan Minuman USJ 2 @ USJ 2 Subang Jaya

Went to Kedai Makanan dan Minuman USJ 2 last Saturday. It is located next to Shell Petrol Station of USJ 2 and opposite The Summit Subang USJ, Subang Jaya.

One of the stall, Fushou Lou Nyonya Curry Mee, is the main attraction of this restaurant. It is said to be one of the best curry noodles in town. The hawker named his nyonya style curry noodles after himself, Fushou Lou, which can be literally translated as "Moustache Man". Just like how the hawker looks like. Business is good, service is fast, noodles are selling fast.

My friend ordered nyonya curry mee with Siew Yuk @ RM5.00. The curry is light in color and is served with Tau Pok (bean curd puffs), long beans and topping of your choice. I was told that the curry noodle was very nice, light and tasty, with the perfect blend of sourness and spiciness.

Since i don't eat spicy food, i have to settle for something-less-than-popular. I decided to eat wan tan mee. I place an order at one of the stall, Fei Zai Wan Tan Mee. Fei Zai can be literally translated as "Fat Guy". Just like how the hawker looks like... from the picture below... he is HUGE!

I ordered Wat Gai Wan Tan Mee @ RM4.50. It is served with vegetables, steamed chicken and 3 mini-sized wontons in a small bowl of soup. The wan tan mee was too oily but the steamed chicken were very soft and smooth. The price is reasonable considering the portion given.

Pastries and Crumbs...

Later, i bought 2 nyonya curry puffs from Taiping Lim. The stall claimed that they are selling authentic "nyonya curry puff". In fact, i don't even know how nyonya curry puff are supposed to look like.

The nyonya curry puff @ RM1.50. It just taste normal to me, nothing special. But i still enjoyed it very much!

  1. Hi, just swing in from Jacky Chong's blog to say hello.
I used to go to this shop for 'Yong Tau Foo', very nice, and the noodle with bitter gourd. So far I have not tried the curry mee because I prefer curry mee with clam.
