Tableware Talk

The Bad...


This was my lunch for yesterday. For an upscale restaurant which charged RM14.50 for Fish N Chips and RM2.50 for mineral water, i was very disappointed at their tableware. For a minute, i thought i was having my meal at a food court. Do you think anyone would serve “real home-cooked deli food” on a melamine plate?


The Good...


Just take a look at another upscale restaurant which is of a similar price range. They used porcelain tableware with the name of the restaurant imprinted on it. It seems more proper to present the food in such a way, if you are charging inflated prices for average food. Proper tableware is equally important in fine dining.
