Traditional Recipe Restaurant @ Kota Damansara

This is my first time going to Dataran Sunway, Kota Damansara. With a map in my hand, i venture to look for this Traditional Recipe Restaurant, which claimed to offer a variety of traditional dishes, glutinous rice dumplings and Pan Mee (board noodles).

The shop is kinda noisy, as the waitress are very rude in handling the cup and glass. The waitress will wash the cup and glass at a sink which is located beside the main dining area. By the sound of the glass knocking, you would have thought those glass have broken.

Longan Sea Coconut @ RM3.50. It tasted sweet, with lots of crunchy sea coconut slices.

Honey Lemon Juice @ RM4.00. It tasted mildly sweet, with strong hint of lemon.

My friend ordered Home-Made Pan Mee @ RM6.80. It was served with vegetables, fried bean curd (fu zuk), anchovies (ikan bilis) and mushroom slices. Nothing to shout about. The only plus point was they gave a lot of anchovies (ikan bilis).

Do you know why these vegetables were clipped one by one from the Pan Mee soup and put in the sauce plate? It was because some of the vegetables have started to rot! OMG! These were from a bowl of Pan Mee which costs you RM6.80! With this price, i never expect any restauranteur would use ingredients which has gone bad!

I ordered Guai Loh Pan Mee @ RM7.80. This is actually spiral pasta. It was served with vegetables, sliced fish balls, crab sticks and Shimeiji mushroom. Talked about fusion! I don't really like the idea. It's kinda weird, as i'm having spiral pasta in a Pan Mee soup. The taste did not blend well.

We also ordered Sui Kow Soup (dumpling packed with minced pork) @ RM6.00. The soup was full of other food stuff, which doesn't look appealing to me. The Sui Kow tasted average and kinda small.

In conclusion, average food with expensive price. Apart from making good food, a good restaurant must also know how to preserve food ingredients. Ingredients which has gone bad would affect the taste of the food in total! With this kind of bad experince, it would be very unlikely for me to return for the second time.
